Recreated rooms show typical furniture styles from the 17th century through to the high style of the 19th century. Of particular interest to you may be the textile exhibition ‘The Way We Wore’ which displays typical Irish clothing and jewellery worn from the 1760s onwards. Non-Knitter Partners & Friends Do you have a partner or friend that doesn’t knit? They are welcome to come along and we can apply a discount of €100 per non knitter because they are not availing of the classes. Your travel companion can of course do their own sightseeing when the classes are being held. Many of the classes are in central locations and your companion would be able to walk around the general location at their leisure, making sure to make arrangements for the time to return with guide. It is important to note that on some of our knitting tours, both north and south, sometimes the classes are not held in central locations and at those times there may not be anything of interest for your companion to see. In these cases we will do our best to arrange alternative activities for non-knitters but this may not always be possible.
