Handwoven Alpaca Shawl-Continuous Strand Weaving on a Triangle Loom with Angie Buchanan

This is a beginning weaving class using a 3 foot Triangle Loom. You will learn the “continuous weave” method in which the warp is created as you weave. That’s right…no warping! Even if you have never woven before, this method makes it easy by letting you warp and weave simultaneously. There is no wasted yarn in weaving on a triangle loom, and it is a great way to get rid of those “odds and ends” pieces of yarn you have laying around. You will also learn how to make color changes and correct mistakes while creating your very own luxurious alpaca shawl. We will also discuss types of yarn to use, how to get texture, different techniques, and how to use the same method on a larger loom. You should be ready for lots of fun and be prepared to get bitten by the “weaving bug!”
